Community Services
Located at 15 Tufts Street, 3rd Floor in Charlestown, the Kennedy Center’s Community Resource Center (CRC) offers a range of antipoverty and social services, available Monday through Friday from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Services are provided on both a scheduled and drop-in basis to support the Charlestown community.
Key services include:
- Charlestown Family Engagement Network (CFEN): Free programs to promote early learning, parent education, and family engagement for children ages birth through six.
- Community Building: Special events like the Annual Holiday Drive and Bunker Hill Pride to foster community pride.
- JFK Basic Needs Fund: Direct relief including food assistance, financial support, and case management.
- JFK Food Security Initiatives: Programs like Senior Grocery, Summer Eats, and Charlestown Farmer’s Market to address long-term nutrition and self-sufficiency.
The Kennedy Center also actively participates in local civic and nonprofit collaborations to enhance the quality of life in Charlestown.
